Please notify us or return rental equipment when it is no longer needed. Our staff will pick up equipment during regular business hours.
Rental equipment is for use in the beneficiary's home. Equipment is not for use in nursing homes or hospitals. If you are admitted to a nursing home please notify us immediately.
The following are safety tips for oxygen and oxygen equipment.
- Do not allow open flame or smoking materials to be used in room where oxygen is used or stored.
- Do not store or use oxygen near a heat source.
- Do not use oil, grease, or aerosol sprays around oxygen equipment.
- Use only a properly grounded receptacle for electrical equipment, (concentrator)
- Do not use extension cords.
- Keep concentrators 18" away from walls, furniture or draperies.
- Properly secure all oxygen cylinders in a floor stand, cart, or lay them on the floor.
- Do not pick up a cylinder by the regulator.
- Notify the office as soon as possible when tanks need to be replaced. We will provide one full tank for each empty tank returned.
- Notify our office if you plan to travel. Never travel without a copy of your oxygen prescription.
- Do not attempt to repair any oxygen equipment. If you believe you are not getting any oxygen you can,
- Check for kinked tubing
- Place end of tubing in a glass of water and observe bubbles.
- If electrical equipment is used, be sure it is plugged in and is turned on.
